Location: Austria
Key feature: Ticket management
Post AG faced several challenges with its vehicle fleet. There were a large number of vehicles spread across several locations, which made it difficult to keep track of maintenance and repairs. In addition, manual communication with the workshop led to delays and errors. To solve these problems, they decided to implement 1Tool’s fleet software with a focus on maintenance planning and easy communication with the various workshops.
Austrian Post introduced 1Tool, a fleet management software that digitalizes and automates key fleet processes. The “WUMS – Workshop and Mobility Service” app is used to carry out regular vehicle inspections and document them electronically. In addition, the delivery staff use the fleet software to create service and repair orders quickly and easily. The license plates of the vehicles are scanned directly with the app. The license plate number is then used to determine the workshop responsible and the service request is automatically sent to them.
The mechanics can then access the relevant work order and update its status as they complete the work. This not only ensures that maintenance is carried out promptly and efficiently, but also that manual communication or other written formalities are no longer required.
A clear overview of all open orders/tickets and comprehensive evaluations of the workshops and locations with the highest productivity make it easier to monitor costs, recognize recurring problems and make faster decisions regarding the repair or replacement of vehicles.
Since the introduction of the fleet software, Swiss Post has experienced several benefits. Vehicle downtimes have been reduced and the roadworthiness of the vehicles has been ensured for continued operation. This has led to a significant increase in productivity and efficiency within the company. In addition, the use of the fleet has been optimized and the return on investment maximized. The introduction of the app has also made it much easier to plan regular maintenance and vehicle inspections.
In addition, optimized communication with the workshop avoids errors and delays so that repairs and maintenance work can be carried out more quickly. Thanks to real-time updates on the status of maintenance and repairs, Post AG drivers can also quickly see which vehicles are in the workshop, what work is being carried out and when it will be completed. The complete documentation of vehicle damage and repairs also ensures greater transparency and traceability within the company and supports the precise recording of vehicle status to comply with legal regulations.
