The Austrian Armed Forces relied on 1Tool to send out newsletters as part of the AIRPOWER11 event. VIP contacts and photographers were also managed with 1Tool. 1Tool was used as a central e-mail marketing tool before the largest European air show and during the AIRPOWER11 event as a newsletter solution, keeping tens of thousands of newsletter subscribers up to date via e-mail newsletter.
290,000 fans visited AIRPOWER11 – and set a new visitor record for Austria’s airshow. Austria’s airshow was also a success for the region. It benefited with 60,000 additional overnight stays and a regional added value of 15 million euros.
Around 5000 employees contributed to the success of Austria’s second largest event. 53 local pubs supplied the fans with 100,000 liters of drinks, and around 400 journalists sent news live from the event to the whole world. 786 spotters took one million photos. (In return, they fortified themselves with 2000 schnitzels, 4000 sausages and 1500 burgers). Around 200 doctors and emergency paramedics were on standby for all kinds of accidents. And 17 storks, although they had become media stars, remained discreetly in the background during the airshow.
