Our new merchandise management module is online!

We are very pleased to present our newly developed merchandise management module for 1Tool.

The merchandise management module is intended in particular to support the management of products in 1Tool and to manage the individual warehouse locations including availabilities, orders and purchases and sales.

In the following, we would like to give you an insight into the individual functions of the new merchandise management module.

Warehouse management

Warehouse management is the easiest way for companies to manage multiple warehouses within a database. To do this, each warehouse must first be defined for an existing contact in the system and the address and contact options of the warehouse must be stored. To create a warehouse for contacts (locations), you can use the Contact detail view in the contact detail view.

Product management

Product management is available under the menu item Merchandise management – Products and shows the current stock of various products, as well as several warehouses. The stock is taken directly from the respective warehouse.

In the editing screen you will find the tab “Merchandise management” tab tab, which you can use to enter a minimum stock quantity for a product. Subsequently, the minimum stock quantity plays an important role for automated order proposals in the system.

Additional purchase

Purchases of products can also be easily managed in the 1Tool. Via the function bar “New additional purchase” function bar at the bottom right of the screen, you can make a new purchase for an existing product and enter the data for the delivery in the next step. Of course, this data can also be automatically copied from existing orders. Once an additional purchase has been made, the stock level is automatically increased by the defined quantity.

Sale

The function “Sales” function function also allows automated invoice generation. This means that invoice creation is directly linked to the warehouse so that the stock level of the selected warehouse of dispatch is automatically reduced after the invoice is created.

Journal

Under Merchandise management – Journal you can view a list of all stock receipts and stock issues and also make any necessary adjustment postings quickly and easily. The correcting entry can be created as an issue (e.g.: shrinkage) or receipt (e.g.: incorrect entry for an additional purchase).

Orders

Under Merchandise management – Orders – Open orders suggestions for the order system are automatically generated and listed using the stored minimum order quantity. These can be selected using a filter and then clicked on the “Order” button button. The desired order quantity can be edited before the order is generated.

All selected items are combined into one order, which can then be viewed under the menu item Merchandise management – Orders – Transacted orders menu item. In addition, it is also possible to automatically convert orders placed into an additional purchase or to export them via the “Export PDF” button button to generate a file with the items for printing.

Inventory

In the merchandise management module, you can also use the “Inventory” function, which can be used to map one or more adjustment postings for a specific key date. A change function also allows you to edit the stock, which automatically results in an entry in the journal. With this function, it is also possible to export the stock after the inventory to an Excel or PDF document.
