To create a new product click on the 1Tool-Menu on Products overview and click on the button “add product” in the upper right corner of the screen.
Under the tab “Product” add the data and information about your product.
First, you determine all the important product information for your product. Enter the name and assign the product to a category. A product can also be assigned to multiple categories (learn how to create product categories here).
In addition, you have the opportunity to specify the period in which your product should be billed (annually, monthly, quarterly, once). You can use the checkboxes to activate your product or determine whether it should be displayed in your web shop. The product can also be created for specific user groups and assigned to responsible employees.
About the rider “Prices” you can set the price of your product. In addition, you can also determine whether discounts are allowed for the product or not (checkbox) and thus it is a discountable product acts. You can also add a surcharge/discount, an accounting area or a contact group directly using the available buttons.
Under the register “dimensions and packaging” you can specify the dimensions and a packaging unit for your product. This is particularly relevant for an online shop when products have to be shipped in a specific packaging. How to specify packaging units in 1Tool create, read here.
Under the tab “ERP” you determine whether your product is available in warehouses and, if so, how many units are available in the various warehouses and what the minimum stock level is. You can find more information on inventory management here.
The Rider "Content” offers the possibility to add product descriptions to your product. The text can be edited in the respective field, just like in Word.
In addition, you can use the tab “Pictures“, upload product photos. As soon as you upload several images, you can also set one image as the main image. In the shop, this is then the preview image of your product. When uploading the image, you can determine which area should be displayed by dragging the mouse over the image.
To always be able to display the entire image as a thumbnail, go under Settings - Shop - Configuration and activate the checkbox for “Always use the whole image as a thumbnail".
Back to creating a new product: In the “Own fields” the fields that you have previously created for your products are filled in. You can find out how to create your own fields here.
The Rider "Combination product” allows you to combine several products into a combination product. Example: if you sell a fruit basket, the individual fruits could be combined into a combination product. Here you can also determine whether the products are included “absolutely”, e.g. 3 bananas, 2 apples etc. or as a percentage (10% bananas, 20% apples etc.).
Under "covers” additional products, such as spare parts, accessories, etc. can also be assigned to the product.
In the tab “surcharges” you can determine additional costs that apply to your product. This could, for example, be a surcharge for a certain material.
Settings for the “Shop or the order form” such as the max. order quantity are made in the so-called tab.
Under the tab “Minutes” you can always see when and who made a change to the product.
Once you have entered all the information and data about your products, you also have the option of uploading important documents about your product. To do this, click on the tab “Documents".
You can now see your previously created documents and folders in the document overview. You can easily add new folders or files, edit them or download them to your PC. You can find more information and instructions on document management here.
