📧 Editing and customizing mail templates
📌 Introduction
Welcome to the guide on editing and customizing Mail Templates.
With the email templates, automatic confirmations, newsletters and other emails can be personalized and customized.
This documentation will guide you step by step through the process of editing an existing mail template or customizing a new one.
📌 Steps to edit a mail template
1️⃣ Access to the mail templates
Log in to your admin area | |
In the left menu, navigate to "Administration". | |
click on "Global"to open the global settings. | |
Go to “Email Settings” and click “Mail templates” (see the screenshot). |
➡ Here you can find a Overview of all existing mail templates in the system.
2️⃣ Edit an existing mail template
- Select the desired mail template from the list.
- click on "Edit"to open the template.
- Make adjustments:
- Change subject: Change the title of the mail.
- Edit email text: Customize the content of the message.
- Use placeholders: Use dynamic placeholders such as ###CUSTOMER NAME### or ###DATE### to automatically generate content.
- Save the changes by clicking on "Save".
3️⃣ Configure automatic confirmations
In the email templates you can set up automatic confirmations, e.g. for registrations or orders.
- Select the appropriate template for the confirmation email.
- Activate the option “Send automatic confirmation”.
- Specify who the confirmation should be sent to (e.g. customer, admin, sales team).
- Save and test the template with a test email.
4️⃣ Create a new email template
If you have one new email template follow these steps:
- In the mail template overview, click “Create new template”.
- Give one template names .
- Define the Subject and email text.
- Use placeholderto automatically generate dynamic content.
- Save the template and test it with a test email.
