Under Settings - Organization - Calendar - My dates you can also display the current appointments in the dashboard.
Here you can now specify the categories that should be displayed in the dashboard. However, the check mark next to "Show categories in dashboard" must be set.
Today's appointments and upcoming appointments are now displayed in the dashboard under "My Appointments".
