Two definitions of terms:
Soft bounce:
Softbounce means that an email could not be delivered immediately. However, the system will make further delivery attempts and the recipient will most likely still receive this e-mail. Reasons for this can be that the addresses have either responded to the newsletter with an out-of-office notice or the mailbox is overflowing.
Hard bounce:
Hard bounce means that an email could not be delivered and the recipient will not receive this email. Reasons for this: wrong e-mail address, e-mail address no longer available, etc. Read how to clean up hard bounces here.
