Efficient fleet management made easy!

Hintergrund:

Post AG faced several challenges with its vehicle fleet. There was a large number of vehicles spread across multiple locations, making it difficult to keep track of maintenance and repairs. In addition, manual communication with the workshop led to delays and errors. In order to solve these problems, it was decided to introduce the fleet software from 1Tool with a focus on maintenance planning and easy communication with the various workshops.

Solution:

The Austrian Post carried along 1Tool a fleet management software with which essential fleet processes could be digitized and automated. With the so-called "WUMS - Workshop and Mobility Service" app, regular vehicle checks are carried out and electronically documented. In addition, the deliverers use the fleet software to create service and repair orders quickly and easily. The license plates of the vehicles are scanned directly with the app. The responsible workshop is then determined on the basis of the license plate number and the service request is automatically sent to them. 

The mechanics can then access the relevant work order and update its status as they complete the work. This not only ensures that maintenance is carried out in a timely and efficient manner, but also that manual communication or other written formalities are no longer required.

A clear overview of all open orders/tickets as well as comprehensive evaluations regarding those workshops and locations with the highest productivity ensure easier monitoring of costs, identification of recurring problems and faster decision-making regarding repair or replacement of vehicles.

Result:

Since the introduction of the fleet software, the Post has experienced several benefits. The downtimes of the vehicles could be reduced and the roadworthiness of the vehicles for further operation was ensured. This has led to a significant increase in productivity and efficiency in the company. In addition, the use of the vehicle fleet has been optimized and the return on investment has been maximized. The introduction of the app has also made it much easier to plan regular maintenance and vehicle inspections.

In addition, the optimized communication with the workshop avoids errors and delays, so that repairs and maintenance work can be carried out more quickly. Thanks to the real-time updates on the status of maintenance and repairs, Post AG drivers can also quickly see which vehicles are in the workshop, what work has been carried out and when it will be completed. The complete documentation of vehicle damage and repairs also ensures greater transparency and traceability in the company and supports the precise recording of the vehicle status to comply with legal regulations.
