Your permissions, your tenant
The AI acts as the signed-in user – with exactly their permissions, only in their tenant. Restricted folders stay restricted.
AI integration · MCP server
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to 1Tool. Your AI reads contacts, tickets, projects and invoices and, if you allow it, creates tasks itself – always with your own permissions.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to reach other software. 1Tool ships its own MCP server: your AI gets access to the whole 1Tool API, signed in as you.
You write in your own words. The AI finds the right data in 1Tool and answers – or acts, if you granted write access.
„Summarise all open tickets of Seeblick Hotelbetriebe.“
„Which projects are over their planned budget?“
„How much revenue did we make with existing customers this quarter?“
„Read the invoice PDF and tell me whether the items match the quote.“
„Create a contact and an opportunity for the new prospect.“
„Comment on the ticket that the technician comes on Thursday.“
In 1Tool under Settings › General › MCP you find your connector address.
Add it in Claude or ChatGPT as a custom connector. For Claude Code and Codex the ready-made command is right next to it.
A browser window opens and you sign in with your 1Tool account. No API key, no tenant ID.
“Read only” or “Full access” – and go.
The connector gives the AI no special rights. Every access passes the same checks as in 1Tool itself.
The AI acts as the signed-in user – with exactly their permissions, only in their tenant. Restricted folders stay restricted.
With “Read only” the tools for changes do not exist. Create, change and delete are separate, so your AI can ask you to confirm each step.
Passwords, tokens, API keys and IBANs are masked before the AI sees them.
OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The access token lasts one hour and is never passed to the language model. If a user is deactivated, 1Tool refuses every request.
Administrators record under Settings › MCP how your company works – the AI reads it on every connection.
Independent of the connector, assistants in 1Tool take routine work off your hands.
Reads incoming invoices: supplier, items, amounts.
Suggests the right account for bank transactions.
Turns price lists (PDF or Excel) into products.
Reads CVs into the applicant record.
Suggests who should handle a ticket.
Translates comments, reports and documents at the push of a button.
The built-in assistants run on your tenant’s own AI key, with a monthly limit you set.
Claude (web, desktop, app and Claude Code), ChatGPT and Codex. You add 1Tool there as a custom connector.
No. The AI acts as the signed-in user and sees exactly what that user may see in 1Tool – only in their tenant.
Only if you choose “Full access” when connecting. With “Read only” the tools for changes are not available at all.
No. The language model runs in your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription; 1Tool only provides the data.
1Tool itself runs in Austria. What you ask your AI is processed by your AI provider – as with any other use of Claude or ChatGPT.
As soon as their 1Tool user is deactivated, the connector refuses every request. An access token only lasts one hour anyway.
Thirty minutes on screen – with your questions, not a slide deck.
