Fleet app WUMS 3.1: new design, same workflow

Fleet app WUMS 3.1: new design, same workflow

The WUMS fleet app is the app for vehicle inspections and workshop orders that 1Tool develops and runs for Austrian Post (Österreichische Post AG). Version 3.1 (October 2026) gives the app a new design.

The most important point first: the workflow stays the same. The same steps in the same order – just presented more clearly. Anyone who has used WUMS before finds their way around immediately and needs no new training.

WUMS 3.1 on video

The explainer video shows what is new in about 80 seconds – in portrait format, just as the app looks on a phone. The video is in German.

The vehicle inspection, step by step

  • Sign in on the start screen. Sign-in sits right on the first screen, no detour.
  • Progress bar. The top of the screen always shows where you are – for example "Step 3 of 8". Drivers know how much is left.
  • Inspection sticker by tap. Month and year of the Austrian § 57a inspection sticker ("Pickerl") are picked from a grid instead of scrolling through a list.
  • Mark damage right in the photo. After answering "Yes", the photo opens immediately. Circle the damage with your finger, choose the type, save – done.
  • Guided camera around the vehicle. If you like, All 5 photos in one go takes every side of the vehicle in a single pass. For every photo the app says which side is next – front, left, rear, right, interior.
  • Equipment answered "present" or "missing". Registration certificate, first-aid kit, warning triangle: every row is answered deliberately, nothing is preselected. As long as an answer is missing, the app says so.

Tickets: find the right vehicle faster

  • Search by number plate. Search for the number plate at the top of the ticket list.
  • Status as tabs. New, In workshop, Ready and Closed – one tap filters the list.
  • The problem on every card. Each ticket card shows the number plate, the status and what it is about, without opening it.
  • Ticket detail in three tabs. Report, Photos and Comments. Comments with the workshop read like a chat.

Profile, support and stability

  • Sign out in the profile. The sign-out button has moved to the new Profile tab – where people look for it, and away from places where it gets hit by accident.
  • Report a problem in the app. The Support tab opens a short form with name, device and app version already filled in – no e-mail or phone call needed.
  • Crash fixed. Cropping photos could crash the app. That is fixed in 3.1.

WUMS at Austrian Post

WUMS – short for "Werkstatt- und Mobilitäts-Service" (workshop and mobility service) – is in daily use at Austrian Post. Over the last twelve months:

  • 7,700+ vehicles in the active fleet
  • 77,000 vehicle inspections a year
  • 454 sites and 370+ connected workshops

How it came about is told in the success story with Austrian Post.

WUMS for your fleet

WUMS is not a one-off build for a single customer: the app and the workshop portal are multi-tenant and can be set up for other fleets – with your vehicles, sites, workshops and inspection points.

How vehicle inspection, workshop order and reports work together is shown on the fleet app page. There you can also request a call about the fleet app – your contact is Mario Körbler.
